MENTOR, Ohio - A Painesville man dressed as an Easter bunny is behind bars.

Mentor police arrested Justin Medema, 27, over the weekend on suspicion of shoplifting, after he finished entertaining residents at Heartland of Mentor retirement home.

Medema is accused of stealing $1,000 in DVDs from a local Sam's Club. 

He pleaded not guilty to the felony theft charge in court.

Bond has been set at $10,000 and Medema is due back in court on April 9.
