A Hollywood man is facing up to life in federal prison after he admitted using Facebook to entice a 16-year-old South Florida girl into prostitution.

Julius Wayne Baker, aka "Jahquawn" and "Lion," pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking of a minor on Tuesday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale.

Baker, 32, faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison when he is sentenced Feb. 5 by U.S. District Judge William Dimitrouleas. Baker is being held without bond at the Broward County Main Jail because he was deemed a danger to the community.

The girl told FBI agents that she had worked as a prostitute for Baker between July and October 2011 after he sent her a message on Facebook asking if she wanted to work for him.

According to court records, Baker asked the girl to "join his team" and told her she could make "as much as $3,500 a week for 'tricking or selling' and asked her to call him if she was interested."

The girl said that she went on more than 100 "dates" — mostly at a motel on Federal Highway in Hollywood. Baker told her to charge clients $180 an hour or $80 for half an hour and demanded all of her earnings at the end of the day. He would give her back 40 percent of the money, she said.

Baker arranged to have a woman pick up the girl at a store in Hollywood and drive her to meet Baker.

The girl said she told Baker she was 16 during that first meeting, but he told her to tell everyone she was 18. He also assigned her a name to use when she was working for him.

Baker photographed the girl naked, as well as in lingerie and a dress. He bought escort service ads for the girl and used the photos to set up prostitution sessions for her, she told investigators.

The girl was arrested late last year for a crime that investigators did not name. She was sent to a residential center for juvenile offenders in Pembroke Pines.

The day after she got out, on July 2, she received another Facebook message from Baker and he tried to entice her back into the sex industry in a follow-up phone call, according to court records.

The girl went to law enforcement agents, who set up recorded phone calls with Baker. During those calls, he offered her a slightly increased rate to work for him again.
