The C-E-O of Waffle House admits to having a sexual relationship with his former housekeeper, but he says it was consensual.
Joe Rogers Junior's former housekeeper has accused him of forcing her to perform sexual services.
Rogers appeared in an Atlanta-area courtroom Wednesday.
"What we're going through is very painful. I've disappointed a lot of people, I've let a lot of folks down and they're standing by me though. I did some stupid things. I was a dumba***."
Rogers says his wife told him to tell the truth. "I'm willing to stand here and be the victim of my own stupidity, but I don't want to the victim of these crimes." ABC News reports Rogers claims he was blackmailed.
A hearing Wednesday concerned a sex tape in the case.
Rogers' attorneys said he had no knowledge the tape was made and demanded it be turned over to the court.
Attorneys for Rogers' accuser handed the tapes over and they were sealed. The next hearing is set for March of next year.
Lawsuits have been filed in the case but no criminal charges as the investigation continues.
