PHOENIX - On Monday, jurors in the Jodi Arias trial saw up-close and personal photos of Arias' private parts causing a stir in court.

Arias is accused of killing her former boyfriend Travis Alexander by stabbing him 27 times, slashing his throat and shooting him in the head.

Shortly after the killing, Arias called Mesa police to offer her assistance in their investigation.

Hours later, a computer forensic expert recovered photos from Alexander's camera showing Arias and Alexander having sex.

The photos were then entered as evidence in the trial.

"The images, when taken with this camera, it embeds the date and time the camera has set on it to the file itself, " testified computer forensic expert Michael Melendez.

Melendez told jurors the first set of photos recovered are time stamped at 1:44 p.m. on June, 4, 2008.

Two of them are close up shots of Arias' genitals where you don't see her face. But there is one of Arias sprawled out naked on the bed wearing pigtails.

There are also photos of Alexander in the nude and one where he is holding up a "V" hand sign.

During an interview with Mesa Police Detective Estaban Flores after Arias' arrest, she denies ever being at Alexander's home.

“If I killed Travis, I would beg for the death penalty," Arias told Flores.

Then Flores tells her police have the nude photos. "You've even denied the pictures. There's pictures of you lying on the bed in pigtails."

"Pigtails?" replies a stunned Arias.

The next set of photos recovered are time stamped 5:22 p.m., Alexander is in the shower and the pictures are taken from the waist up.

But it's the photos time stamped after 5:32 p.m. that Prosecutor Juan Martinez said Arias didn't want taken.

In these photos, the camera appears to have fallen, but continues taking photos upside down.

Alexander is photographed down on the shower floor with blood running down his right side.

Police would later find Alexander's camera in the washing machine.

On cross examination of  Melendez, Defense Attorney Jennifer Wilmott pointed out that the camera was not broken and the memory card was still intact.

The defense wants to show that Arias is the true victim and killed Travis in self defense.
