UPDATE: Police say Colorado movie theater suspect's apartment is booby-trapped and area evacuated, according to the Associated Press
AURORA, Colo. -- Multiple police agencies, including a swat team and bomb squad, are outside the apartment complex of a man suspected of killing 12 people and injuring more than 53 others at an Aurora movie Theater.
Video from AirTracker 7 at 6:20 a.m. showed a FBI agent removing the glass from the window. In the last hour, video showed very small cameras being used to look inside a broken window, past the mini blinds. At 8:45 a.m., video showed firefighters breaking out more windows.
The apartment is believed to be the home of 24-year-old James Holmes. NBC News said Holmes was arrested after the deadly shooting at a theater in Aurora.
Holmes moved from San Diego to Colorado about a year ago, according to his mother. She told a reporter that her son moved to Colorado to pursue a Ph.D.
"I need to call police and I need to fly out to Colorado," said Arlene Holmes during that call.
Twelve people died after a gunman opened fire in a theater showing "The Dark Knight Rises" at 12:05 a.m. on Friday.
The suspect was arrested in the parking lot of the theater, police said.
The man was found at his car, behind the theaters, according to Police Chief Dan Oates.
"He did not resist. He did not put up a fight," said Frank Fania, a police spokesman.
He was found with two weapons in his possession, a rifle and a handgun, police said.
Investigators said they recovered a third weapon, but they did not say where that weapon was found or what it was.
The suspect alluded to bombs at his house, police said.
That is why police went to the apartment in North Aurora.
The apartment complex appears to be on Paris Street between 16th and 17th avenues.
Witnesses told 7NEWS officers started pulling up around 1 a.m.
7NEWS has learned that Holmes lived in apartment 10.
Neighbors around the apartment have been evacuated.
Hours later, Good Morning America tweeted, "No booby traps or improvised explosive devices have been discovered so far at suspect's home or in car."
Oates said there is no evidence of additional shooters.
