President Barack Obama has officially begun his second term by taking the Oath of Office, but the country will still celebrate the occasion with a ceremonial inauguration on Monday.
Under the US Constitution, the Oath of Office must be given on January 20. By tradition official inaugurations are not help on a Sunday. This is why a private ceremony was held on Sunday and the official inauguration ceremony and inaugural balls will be held on Monday.
ABC News is planning a full day of live streaming coverage of the inauguration, beginning at 9:30 am on Monday. The coverage of the inauguration will run until 5:30 pm. The network will then take a break, before returning with live streaming coverage of the inaugural balls from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
