In light of the Connecticut school shooting, Dick's Sporting Goods stores have removed certain types of semi-automatic rifles from their shelves.
In a statement, the company said they've already taken the guns out of the Newtown store out of respect for the victims.
With 511 stores across the country, it's unclear if this policy change will affect every location.
The AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle has been at the center of debate in Washington since the gun was used last week during the killing spree at the elementary school in Connecticut and at the Clackamas Town Center in Oregon.
The company has not said how long they will uphold the suspension.
Wal-mart has also decided to cease selling of certain types of guns on their online store.
