NEW YORK (AP) -- Authorities say a Florida-bound Delta Air flight had engine-related trouble shortly after takeoff at LaGuardia Airport. The pilot was able to make a safe landing at nearby Kennedy Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the twin-engine jet took off around 8:15 a.m. Friday. It was headed for Palm Beach International Airport.
Newsday (http://bit.ly/14QCSbX ) reports that Flight 2395 declared an emergency shortly after takeoff due to an undetermined engine-related problem. It landed at Kennedy at 8:31 a.m.
It was not immediately known how many passengers and crew were on board the plane.
