GILBERT, AZ - After her baby would not stop crying, police say a Valley woman blew marijuana smoke into the baby’s mouth.

Video captured by the mother's friend shows her smacking the 10-month-old girl in the leg and the face.

Jessica Callaway, 21, was arrested on Saturday after the video was turned over to police.

Gilbert investigators said Callaway confessed to the abuse and even admitted to more.

“Jessica blew [marijuana] smoke in the baby’s mouth in order for the baby to stop crying,” authorities wrote in court documents.

“This has happened more than once,” they wrote.

Callaway told police she was having a bad day and could not find an outfit to wear for the night, and that’s what led to the incident, according to investigators.
