A school board member in the Atlanta area is accused of ramming into a student in her district with her SUV.

Authorities say Bartow County school board member Angie Cornett hit the 17-year-old in the leg in a dispute over a parking space at Walmart.

They say the teen was trying to hold the spot for her brother's girlfriend.

She didn't want her to walk too far because she recently gave birth.

Police released this surveillance video of the incident, and a photo showing what is said to be a black tire mark on the teen's jeans.

Police say Cornett told them the teen got the mark from leaning on her SUV.

But police say the video tells a different story, and charged her with misdemeanor reckless conduct.

You can't tell close up how she was struck or how hard she was struck or exactly how hard she was struck but you can see that she was standing there when the vehicle lurched forward and had to move out of the way.

The teen was not seriously hurt.

As for Cornett, she was arrested and released on bond Friday. She has since resigned from her school board position.
