BALTIMORE (AP) -- A grand jury has indicted a Maryland cannibalism suspect on more a serious charge of attempted murder in a different attack at a Baltimore university dorm.

Twenty-one-year-old Alexander Kinyua was already facing assault and reckless endangerment charges in the May attack at Morgan State University. A prosecutor spokesman says the more serious charge came Thursday.

Joshua Ceasar says Kinyua hit him over the head with a baseball bat as he walked into Kinyua's campus apartment, knocking him out. He says friends told him they discovered Kinyua standing over him with a knife.

Harford County authorities say Kinyua told them he ate the heart and brain of a family friend he is charged with killing days later. Ceasar says he feared Kinyua planned the same for him.
