CINCINNATI - The Ohio woman who made national headlines for showing her 2-year-old daughter how to smoke marijuana will spend six months in jail.

A judge on Friday also placed Jessica Gamble, 21, on two years of probation, ordered the mother to enter a 90-day treatment program and said is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with the toddler. Gamble will receive credit for four months behind bars that she's already served. She faced the possibility of 6 1/2 years in prison.

The Springfield Township mother pleaded guilty in November to corrupting another with drugs and tampering with evidence. The prosecutor's office agreed to drop a child endangering charge in exchange for the two guilty pleas.

Gamble was arrested in September after authorities obtained cell phone video that showed her instructing her young daughter how to smoke marijuana inside their home. The almost two-minute long video shot in August primarily shows the little girl smoking a marijuana cigarette. Off camera, a voice that prosecutors said is Gamble is heard saying to the child, "Don't blow on it."

Authorities said Gamble thought she had deleted the video from her cell phone, but she had already sent it a friend who forwarded it to officials with Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services who then called police.

Gamble's daughter has been living with relatives since her arrest.
