Multi-car wreck at Lantana and SR 7 sends two to hospital

PALM BEACH COUNTY - Rescue crews are at the scene of a wreck that has sent two people to the hospital and injured two others as well on Lantana Road at State Road 7, Palm Beach County Rescue spokesman Capt. Don DeLucia said.
The crash was reported just before 8 a.m.
Five vehicles were involved in the crash.
Two patients were transported to Delray Medical Center. Trauma Hawk airlifted one of the victims.
Investigators suspect one of the vehicles crossed the median.
The northbound lanes of State Road 7 are shut down just south of Lantana Road.
Further details are expected later this morning. Motorists should avoid the area.
