PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - A South Florida family is pleading for help to find the people who killed their son one year ago today.

Willie Patterson Jr. was invited by friends to attend a block party. Investigators say three masked gunmen made their way into the party and gunned him down. The crime happened in the 100 block of Tiffany Drive in Mangonia Park.

The case is still open.

Monday morning his mother, Michelle Frazier-Pierce, shared the pain she endured after learning her son was murdered. "The most horrible thing for me as a mother was receiving the death certificate and learning the cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds. It ripped me to pieces to learn he was a target."

She is asking for anyone with information to please step forward and help detectives close the case. They are asked to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
