PORTLAND, Ore. - The Guinness Book of World Records recognizes Mill Ends Park in Portland, Oregon as the smallest park in the world.  It is about the size of a small planter box, just two feet across.

A small sapling, the park's only tree, was stolen last week.  Park officials say after they replaced the Douglas Fir, the stolen sapling was returned.  They put the tree in a pot and it is currently sitting in the Parks and Recreation offices.

When the tree was returned, park workers say they noticed wax had been dripped onto its branches. The reason is a mystery.

Parks officials now plan to replant the tree in a different, larger park.
