STUART, Fla. - Call it a "manatee water fountain".

YouReporter Nick C. of Stuart says he was washing his boat with one hose and flushing the motors with the other hose when a manatee came right up to the boat and started drinking away.

That's when Nick grabbed his cell phone and started recording!

As you can see in the video below, the manatee really seems to enjoy the fresh water pouring from the hose.

While this manatee encounter was unintentional, experts remind boaters that giving manatees water can be very hazardous to them.

"They will lose their natural apprehension towards people and will be drawn to areas where there are lots of boats. They can also become dependent on people for their fresh water and no longer seek it from natural sources," said John Cassady, Research Associate, Manatee Section, Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.
