BOCA RATON, Fla. - We always hear about cat-in-tree rescues, but Thursday afternoon, some firefighters assisted in another type of animal-related rescue: ducklings trapped in a sewer.
A WPTV YouReporter first spotted the mother duck at 7940 N. Federal Highway. Kayte Major told NewsChannel 5 that 9 of the mother duck's 11 ducklings fell through a sewer grate.
Major then called fire rescue and watched as three men saved the ducklings from the gutter. The ducklings were then reunited with their mother.
