LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies and fire rescue crews are at an attorney's office in downtown Lake Worth after two hand grenades were reported in the building.

According to sheriff's office Lt. Alan May, an attorney was cleaning out a client's property -- a WWII veteran who had died a few years ago -- and discovered two grenades.

May said the attorney then brought them to the law office and called the sheriff's office.

A bomb quad is currently X-raying the grenades, and if the are deemed safe, they will be brought to a firearms range and detonated.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is at the scene and has evacuated the building while authorities examine the grenades.

The building, which is located on 101 N J Street, is the site of two different offices -- one for Harvey, Waddell, Monahan & Layton and the other for The Law Offices of Shannon J. Sagan, P.A. It is not clear which office was invovled.
