Southbound turnpike shut down in Boca Raton after man goes over guard rail, dies

The Southbound Florida turnpike in Boca Raton were shut down after a car went over the guardrail onto the street below causing a fatality.
PBSO is on the scene in the Southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike at 18th Street, Boca Raton, conducting a death investigation.
Information that was given to PBSO by the deceased's next of kin was that he was going to take his life. The deceased individual drove his vehicle from the SW 18th street overpass onto the Southbound lane of the Florida Turnpike.
Soundbound lanes of the Turnpike from Glades Road are shut down. Eastbound lanes of SW 18th street from Boca Rio Rd. are shut down. VCD Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating the scene.
