Firefighters respond to brush fire south of C.R. 512 in Fellsmere

FELLSMERE - Firefighters battled a brush fire reported south of County Road 512 and east of Willow Street on Tuesday afternoon.
A lightning strike caused the blaze, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue. Florida Forest Services also responded to help clear a path to the remote location near the power lines.
Officials confirmed no homes were in danger.
