PORT SALERNO, Fla. -Martin County Fire Rescue had to use the Jaws of Life to free a person trapped inside a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Port Salerno Sunday afternoon.

Martin County Fire Rescue spokesperson Bill Schobel said the rollover accident happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of S.E. Salerno Road and S.E. Jack Avenue. The accident involved three cars, with one coming to rest on its roof.

Schobel said one car left the scene and the Martin County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of that vehicle.

No word on how many were injured, or the extend of the injuries.

You Reporter Margarita took a photograph of the crash scene and shared it with wptv.com.
