Woman charged in fight over fortune teller's prediction

A Tamarac woman involved in a quarrel over a fortune teller's prediction was accused of throwing a piece of broken mirror and cutting her victim, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office report.

Angelique McGuire, 23, was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill. She was released from jail early Thursday on a $12,500 bond.

According to the report, McGuire and Broderick Campbell had an argument Monday in the 7200 block of Woodmont Terrace over a fortune teller's prediction that she would have Campbell put in jail for the rest of his life.

The dispute continued the next day when Campbell said he was leaving McGuire. While he stood on top of a bed video-taping McGuire's reaction on his cell phone, a mirror on the bedroom wall fell and shattered, according to the report.

McGuire then allegedly threw the glass at Campbell, which cut him near the left side of his neck and chest area.

She fled in her purple 1994 Chevrolet pick-up truck and was apprehended shortly after at a nearby Walgreens.
