BOSTON - Chad Ochocinco has a new football home this year, moving to the New England Patriots after spending his entire career in Cincinnati.
He’s also looking for a new place to live—and he’s hoping a fan can provide that for him.
"I'm going to do something different, I'm actually going to stay with a fan for the first two, three weeks of the season," he told reporters after a recent practice. "That should be fun, until I get myself acclimated and learn my way around."
In terms of finding the right roommate, Ochocinco doesn’t seem too concerned with the logistics. All he’s looking for is someone with Internet and an Xbox.
"I'm not sure how it's going to work, but they have to have Internet and have to have Xbox," he said. "That's about it."
The good news for whomever decided to house the wide receiver is that he shouldn’t have any trouble making rent—he’s due to make $6 million this year,
Ochocinco has developed a reputation of interacting with fans, using Twitter to take fans out to dinner, to the movies, or to send along a gift. But can he find a suitable roommate out of his 2 million Twitter followers?
We’ll find out.
