A Virginia motorist has apparently had to return his vanity license plate after the Department of Motor Vehicles decided it was too lewd for public roadways, according to an article in The Washington Examiner .

The plate had the letters  "EATTHE" on one of the state's "Kids First" license plates.  So to some it read "EATTHE" KIDS FIRST.

The owner said the DMV had received multiple complaints about the plate.

According to the DMV, the plate had to be returned because the message could be construed to mean performing oral sex on children.
