CLEVELAND - A 32-year-old woman who drove on the sidewalk to pass a Cleveland school bus began standing at the intersection wearing an "idiot" sign Tuesday morning.
Shena Hardin was sentenced as part of her parole agreement to stand at the corner of East 38th and Superior Ave. from 7:45 – 8:45 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday wearing a 22 inch by 22 inch sign that reads, “Only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.”
Cleveland Metropolitan School District bus driver Uriah Herron is credited with getting video of Hardin going around the bus on the sidewalk, as kids were loading and unloading.
Hardin's sidewalk detours appeared to be a daily occurrence before she was caught on camera.
A judge also ordered Hardin to pay $250 in court costs and suspended her license for 30 days.
