A server at a North Carolina restaurant was fired after posting a photo of a dinner tab signed by Peyton Manning, according to an article popular on the internet Friday.
The bill at Angus Barn was $739.58 and included an 18-percent gratuity.
Sweaterpunch.com said an additional $200 was added, making the tip roughly 50-percent, and the bill was signed by Manning.
While this might have been a nice gesture, the server ended up getting fired after apparently posting a photo of the bill.
The Triangle Business Journal said Van Eure, owner and operator of Angus Barn, was livid after learning about the check and said the server was immediately terminated.
Eure reportedly said the restaurant has a strict policy to kept private dining experiences private.
