Oprah Surface Tweet: Winfrey's Twitter Microsoft Surface endorsement sent from her iPad

An endorsement from Oprah Winfrey is a company's dream come true -- unless it's sent from said company's direct competition.

Last Sunday, Oprah jumped on Twitter to announce her love for the Microsoft Surface.

" Gotta say love that SURFACE! Have bought 12 already for Christmas gifts. # FavoriteThings," she tweeted around 9 p.m.

However, Oprah didn't send this Tweet from any of her 12 beloved Surfaces. She Tweeted it from her Apple iPad.

The embarrassing endorsement has caused a lot of buzz on social media, and Oprah even removed the Tweet from her page.

According to the LATimes , the flop highlights a major issue with the Surface: there's still no official Twitter app.
