When you go to the gym, you usually expect a tough workout.
But a gym in North Carolina is trying a new kind of class that uses a very different method to help you unwind: napping.
At the Flex & Fit gym, the only stretching done is in a silken hammock suspended from the ceiling.
"Just relax, close your eyes, listen to the meditative music and take your nap," says Flex & Fit Owner Shama Patel at her new "air napping" course.
During this class, adults take 30 minutes out of their day to catch some shut-eye.
In her "former life," Patel was an attorney. But early in her career, she said she became inspired to start air napping during the times her gym wasn't being used for yoga and other classes.
"When I first entered corporate America, they did have a nap room," said Patel. "They encouraged people to go in and take that 20 to 30 minute nap so they could recharge."
Some air-nappers say, no matter how soothing the meditative music is, they just cant relax. But others say it's the perfect, relaxing break that they needed.
"[I feel] rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to take on the day," says napper Katie Sherman.
