Miami Heat fans came from South Beach, West Palm Beach, Hawaii and even as far away as South Africa to see the Heat take the title Thursday night.
And they weren't disappointed.
There was jubilation after the game outside the American Airlines Arena, and a lot of noise from people banging pots and pans.
That's become something of a tradition in the many Miami communities.
NewsChannel 5's Evan Axelbank was right in the middle of the celebration.
He didn't lose his head during the commotion as he reported live, but his head was a magnet for one fan who couldn't resist rubbing Evan's bald pate. Perhaps for good luck and maybe another championship next year.
