(KSBW) Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, high atop a Big Sur cliff, sits a nest. While birds would love to live in it, the nest was built for people who want to feel at one with nature.
A "human nest" at Treebones Resort draws hundreds of visitors from around the world who want a unique experience living outdoors.
The nest costs $110 a night and is almost always booked solid. Alana and Paul Clark traveled from England to spend just one night in Treebones' nest.
"We've camped out before in tents and other things... but not like this. This is an amazing experience," they said.
Jayson Fann is the local artist behind the nests, also called "spirit nests," and he's lived in Big Sur for the past 20 years.
