Amazing footage of a close encounter with a great white shark off the coast of Western Australia has gone viral.
Two divers, Dave Richards and Nathan Podmore, were ten minutes into spearfishing when the shark began to circle them.
Richards and Podmore were later interviewed by 7News, a TV news station in Western Australia.
In order to fend off the dangerous beast that blocked the path back to their boat, the divers were forced to poke it with spear guns.
The shark came close enough to touch, and continued to circle.
After a few hard prods, the shark swam away and Richards and Podmore made it back to their boat in one piece.
The Today Show spotlighted the encounter Monday morning.
Podmore had a camera strapped to his head, so the entire encounter was caught on video.
