CLEVELAND - Forget a number – all Cookie Monster is asking for in the latest ‘Call Me Maybe’ cover is a sweet treat.

The Sesame Street character famous for his love of cookies is voicing just that in a video that’s taking off across the Internet.

In the spoof called ‘Share It Maybe,’ Cookie Monster sings “Hey me just met you, and this is crazy, but you got cookie, so share it maybe,” as he goes around an office on a quest for cookies.

Workers dance and even watch 'Call Me Maybe' on their computer while Cookie Monster tries desperately to  fulfill his cookie urge, with lyrics like, "Me going off me rocker, please feed me Betty Crocker."

Cookie Monster joins an eclectic group, including Justin Bieber and the Harvard Baseball team, who have lip-synced, choreographed and indulged in Carly Rae Jepson's summer hit that has become a pop culture craze.

The crooning Cookie is a favorite on YouTube. Posted on Sesame Street's YouTube channel, 'Share It Maybe' has more than 1.5 million views and 20,000 likes as of Wednesday morning.
