Colonel Meow is the cat's meow.
Guinness World Records says the two-year-old Himalayan-Persian crossbreed has been designated as the cat with the world's longest fur.
It's 9 inches long.
The cat is owned by Anne Marie Avey and Eric Rosario of Los Angeles. They say they named him because of his “epic frown and fur."
“We already knew that he was the best cat in the world, but to be recognized in the Guinness World Records book takes it to the next level,” Guinness quoted Anne Marie as saying.

But it's not easy keeping up with this cat. “Literally everything in the house has hair on it, including us! I feel like I’m always vacuuming!” Anne Marie said.
Guinness notes Colonel Meow's needs to be brushed 2–3 times a week, and it takes both Anne and Eric to complete the job.
