A sinkhole swallowed three cars early Thursday in a south Chicago neighborhood.
A WGN camera was rolling as the ground gave away and swallowed one of the cars in the South Deering neighborhood of the city.
NBC said it happened at 9600 South Houston Avenue near the Chicago Skyway.
One person had to be pulled out of the crater and was taken to a local hospital.
There was heavy rain and flooding in the area overnight -- but it's not clear if that caused the ground to open up.
Firefighters and police are on the scene, keeping spectators away.
