NBC Today Show has confirmed that a video diary floating around the Internet is of Casey Anthony.
Anthony's video release was "unauthorized" and "inappropriate" and potentially found its way onto the Internet after being hacked, attorney J. Cheney Mason told the Orlando Sentinel in a report.
Cheney told the Sentinel that an investigation is under way to find out how it was leaked and that the video was a way for Anthony to maintain "some notes for her personal use and for future counseling purposes."
In the video, Anthony does not discuss her deceased daughter Caylee. However, she does say "things are looking up."
She says in the video: “It’s just a little surreal how much things have changed since July, and how many things haven’t changed."
Anthony tells viewers that she adopted a dog.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to call something mine,” she said.
Jurors in July acquitted Anthony of killing her 2-year-old daughter, and she was released from prison.
