MIAMI - Taking an evening dip in the swimming pool can be a relaxing summertime Florida experience, but not when you take the car with you.
NBC in Miami reports that a driver lost control of his vehicle at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in southwest Miami-Dade. He crashed through a fence in a Ford sedan, and went into the pool.
It happened in the 11600 block of Southwest 122nd Avenue.
The homeowner, who did not identify himself to the television station, said he was sleeping when he heard a loud crash. He walked outside to find the driver of the car climbing out of the pool. The driver wasn't injured.
Police took the driver into custody. He has not been identified and it is unclear if he will face charges.
The car was removed four hours later.
