Amy's mother captured the moments she was first able to hear and posted the video on YouTube.
You can see a mixture of several emotions on her face as she hears the voices of her parents, siblings and son for the first time.

Neither the implants nor the practice of posting "hearing for the first time" videos on YouTube is anything new.
