Naked man runs through neighborhood, jumps into Kansas pool

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - A man runs naked through a Kansas neighborhood and jumps in a pool full of children Wednesday afternoon.

Amy Shapiro and her daughter were pulling into their neighborhood near 147th Street and Antioch in Overland Park when everything came to a halt.

“All of the sudden we see this guy get out of the car on the passenger side and run up Antioch naked,” said Shapiro.

Shapiro said the man jumped a fence and dove into the Wellington Neighborhood pool that was full of kids.

“They all scattered and jumped out of the pool. They were just shocked and he was just standing there like it was no big deal,” said Shapiro.

Her 12-year-old daughter Kylie watched in disbelief.

“I was just like what the heck is going on,” said Kylie.

The man eventually got out of the pool.

He was taken to KU Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation.

According to a police spokesman, the 20-year-old man probably won’t face any charges.
