It was the perfect storm: banks, realtors and buyers who looked the other way until it was too late.

Six years after the housing crisis began, NewsChannel 5 continues to pick through the aftermath. Virtually no neighborhood in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast has been unaffected by falling home prices and foreclosures.

The crisis and the recovery are part of the year-long effort at WPTV that we call Impact 5 -- an effort to uncover the problems and help find solutions.
