LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - The Contact 5 Investigators obtained the search warrant detailing what investigators were looking for following the shooting death of a Loxahatchee Groves man at the hands of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy.

The 3-page search warrant was signed by a Palm Beach County Judge less than 24 hours after 24-year-old Seth Adams was shot by a Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy three weeks ago.

It states the reason for the warrant was to collect evidence to help prove that a felony had been committed.

That felony was later described as 'battery on a law enforcement officer."

Among the items investigators went looking for with this search warrant:

- Digital media including computers, video surveillance records and memory cards from the property

- Computer storage devices like hard drives

- Cell phones

- Clothing worn by Seth Adams the night he was killed.

The items they actually confiscated included two computers, a hard drive and a power chord. Sheriff Ric Bradshaw stated, publicly, that surveillance cameras from the property did not record any video from that night.

On May 16, just after 11:30 p.m., veteran PBSO deputy, Michael Custer, shot and killed Adams just outside the Adams' family's business in Loxahatchee Groves.

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw maintains the shooting was justified; Adams' family disagrees. Adams was not armed at the time he was shot four times.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now conducting its own independent investigation.
