WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A Miami circuit court judge has dismissed the lawsuit against a local puppy broker.
More than 60 people from 20 different states got together with the help of the Humane Society of the United States to sue Purebred Breeders, a dog broker based in Fort Lauderdale.
The dog owners claimed the puppies purchased from Purebred Breeders were sick when sold to them. The dog owners also claimed the puppies came from substandard breeders.
Purebred Breeders is one of the largest online dog brokers in the country. The company asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit, stating there were too many un-related claims grouped into a single suit.
The judge granted a motion for dismissal last month.
