WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Right now, cities are installing new red light cameras at intersections across the area.
But are they working to cut down on accidents as city leaders intended?
At this time back in 2011, police officers from different cities told Contact 5 Investigator Dan Krauth they needed another two years to find out.
The Contact 5 Investigators waited two years. But this time, it wasn't as easy to get law enforcement of city officials to talk on camera about the program or to get answers.
NewsChannel 5 discovered some cities are continuing to cash in on your tickets but some of them aren't holding up their end of the bargain as required by law.
Now a lawmaker is looking to get answers of her own.
