Boca Raton, Fla. - Most people shop online at one point or another. But hundreds of people across the country are complaining about a series of websites, claiming they were "deceived" into buying more than they signed up for.
The websites are located right here in Boca Raton.
When Deborah Chapman went online to buy a book for her daughter, she clicked on more than she bargained for.
"I felt deceived," said Chapman. "It was no good deal."
She's not alone. Hundreds of people have filed complaints from dozens of different states.
"It ought to be brought down, it shouldn't be allowed to continue," she said.
Two states even stepped in to get money back for customers, but the complaints continue to be filed.
The Contact 5 Investigators stepped in to get answers so it doesn't happen to you.
