FT. LAUDERDALE, FL -- A fatal accident involving a Tri Rail train and a pedestrian is causing delays for southbound travelers from Palm Beach County.
Tri Rail spokesperson Bonnie Arnold tells WPTV.com that the accident occured at Oakland Park Boulevard in Ft Lauderdale.
Southbound service is continuing to the Crypress Creek station.
A bus bridge is being set up at the location to take commuters to Ft Lauderdale.
Train service to Miami continues south of the Fort Lauderdale station.
The fatality accident occured around 6:30am and investigators will be on scene for most of the morning according to Tri Rail.
