WEST PALM BEACH, FL--The National Transportation Safety Board has released the probable cause of a TV helicopter crash November 11, 2008.

Sky 12, a Bell 206B helicopter leased to WPEC, made a hard landing in an industrial lot near I-95. The pilot and passenger suffered minor injuries.

The landing gear was damaged and the tail was split in half, but the main section of the helicopter remained intact.

A witness praised the pilot for missing power lines when the rotor stopped.

According to the NTSB report the accident was traced to a loose nut.
