LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Officials say a bus carrying students on a college campus visit crashed on a Kentucky interstate and more than three dozen people were taken to area hospitals.
Emergency management spokeswoman Jody Duncan says the bus had 42 people aboard and all were taken to area hospitals. Duncan says most suffered minor to moderate injuries but a couple of people were critically injured.
TV video showed the injured being placed in ambulances at the crash scene.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday as the bus was headed westbound on Interstate 64 near the Shelby County line.
A school spokesman says the bus was carrying students from Waggener High School in Louisville and was on the way back to the city after a visit to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
