A new iPhone app is giving new meaning to the old saying “use it or lose it.”
The application is called “lose it” and its helping millions of Americans lose weight with a few taps on their phone.
The concept is simple: count calories.
Depending on your weight and age and the amount of weight you want to lose, the app calculates how many calories you need to lose to meet that goal in the specific time frame you want to meet it.
Juan Montalvo wanted to lose 20 pounds to get in shape for a firefighters competition. He had three months to do it and “lose it” made it happen.
“The app has it all laid out for you, it’s a matter of a click and a tap,” said Montalvo.
