PALM BEACH, Fla. - The island of Palm Beach had a front row seat to the Bernie Madoff saga. Now a film is slated to premiere August 26 depicting the story of Harry Markopolos.
Markopolos says he tried warning the government about Madoff's ponzi scheme nine years before Madoff was caught.
He says in the years leading up to it, he turned over documents outlining the scheme, but nothing was done.
In the film he says he often feared for his life while trying to expose Madoff.
