Darline Prudhomme: Home health care aide accused of stealing from elderly patients

A 23-year-old home health aide is under arrest, accused of stealing from her elderly employers.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, an elderly couple hired Darline Prudhomme to help them with their daily activities. It says one of the alleged victims was reconciling her bank account when she discovered suspicious debits.

The sheriff's office said Prudhomme used one of her employer's debit cards to make several purchases.

She's charged with petit theft, fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, criminal use of personal identification information, exploitation of an elderly person, grand theft from a person 65 years of age or older and scheme to defraud.
