WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - You may think it's cold outside, but at least we don't have to shovel the snow. Well, some actually do!
Bryan Bradley is the Director of Operations at Palm Beach Ice Works , and has to dress for winter every day. "I'm always in long sleeves, and it looks like I stepped out of an igloo."
Bradley maintains the ice rink and he's always prepared for the cold. "I'm the only person I know that keeps a ski jacket in my car all year round."
This born and raised Floridian didn't have to leave the state for his 'cool job'. "I'm often out here for hours at a time and my fingers go numb."
The air temperature is 50 degrees, and the ice checks in at 21 and a half degrees.
"It's trying, I get my colds at different times of year then everyone else gets their colds," he said.
Despite the cold, Bryan loves his job. "I definitely got a cool job. Everybody comes here to have a good time, they don't come here to be down or hate being here, they come here to have a wonderful time and that's what we do."
The people who use this facility all the time, see our recent cold snap a little differently. "Is this a cold snap? really? Is that what this is? If you say so," laughs Paul Simard, a Canadian hockey player.
